☀️ Scientists just made quantum entanglement with sunlight — no lasers needed
Researchers at the Max Planck Institute showed for the first time that concentrated sunlight can generate quantum-entangled photon pairs with 94% fidelity — something physicists long assumed required lasers. They focused light from a household window-sized Fresnel lens into a tiny nonlinear crystal. This could one day power space-based quantum encryption using nothing but the sun. Could solar-powered quantum satellites be closer than we think?
