π¬ Scientists spotted quantum entanglement in a crystal big enough to hold in your hand
Researchers at TU Wien detected strong quantum entanglement in a centimeter-sized crystal of a "strange metal" β a solid you could hold comfortably in one palm. They used a technique called quantum Fisher information to directly measure multipartite entanglement, the deep quantum link usually seen only at subatomic scales. The finding suggests the unusual electrical behavior of strange metals may be tied directly to quantum entanglement.
