๐ Euclid Just Found 31 Ancient Quasars from When the Universe Was Only 670 Million Years Old
The European Space Agency's Euclid telescope has spotted 31 of the oldest known quasars ever found โ including two that burned when the universe was just 670 million years old, less than 5% of its current age. What's baffling astronomers: these supermassive black holes shouldn't have grown massive enough to power quasars so quickly after the Big Bang, and current models simply can't explain it. Could there be a fundamentally different way black holes grow in the early universe?
