๐ SpaceX Eyes Late August for Starship Flight 14 โ and a Historic Ship Catch at the Tower
SpaceX has been cleared to attempt something never done before: catching Starship's upper stage (Ship) back at the launch tower after an orbital flight. Flight 13's Ship 40 splashed down so precisely on July 24 that post-flight data confirmed it could have hit the Mechazilla tower arms. Flight 14 is targeting late August 2026, though engineers are still analyzing a partial booster engine failure from Flight 13 before committing to catching the booster too. If both catches succeed, it would be a giant leap toward the rapid full reuse SpaceX needs for Mars missions. Will you be watching?
